About This Treatment

Laser Pilonidoplasty (LPP), also called SiLaC (Sinus Laser Closure), is the most minimally invasive treatment available for pilonidal sinus. A radial-firing laser fiber is inserted through the sinus opening and slowly withdrawn, delivering 360-degree laser energy that destroys the sinus lining from inside — no excision required.

The external wound is just 2–3mm (the size of the laser fiber entry). There is no large wound to pack, no stitches to remove, and patients return to sitting, driving, and desk work within 3–5 days. LPP is the ideal first choice for primary, uncomplicated pilonidal sinuses.

At Shraddha Hospital, we combine LPP with laser hair removal of the pilonidal area for the lowest possible recurrence rate.
